Shaylyn Bradshaw, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Shaylyn.Bradshaw@willowgracecounseling.com
Your story matters. You deserve a space where you can be fully seen.
When you’ve spent years carrying the weight of past experiences, questioning who you are, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others, it can be exhausting trying to navigate everything alone. You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling in relationships, questioning your identity, or trying to make sense of experiences that have shaped the way you see yourself and the world.
Shaylyn Bradshaw, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, provides a compassionate, affirming space where teens and adults can explore their experiences without judgment. She believes therapy is a place where you can begin to understand yourself more deeply, reconnect with your values, and create meaningful change while honoring every part of your story.
Shaylyn specializes in working with individuals navigating trauma, religious trauma, identity exploration, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the lasting impact of difficult experiences. She is passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPOC clients, and those who have felt misunderstood, unseen, or pressured to hide parts of themselves. Her goal is to help clients reclaim their voice, strengthen their sense of self, and build a life rooted in authenticity and self-acceptance.
For many clients, healing involves more than addressing symptoms. It means exploring the experiences, relationships, cultural messages, and systems that have shaped how they view themselves and their place in the world.
Shaylyn provides LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy and welcomes clients from diverse identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences. She supports individuals navigating questions around gender, sexuality, spirituality, faith transitions, and religious trauma, including those processing harm from rigid belief systems or exploring what spirituality means to them now.
She also understands the impact that social and cultural stressors can have on mental health. Shaylyn supports clients experiencing sociopolitical distress, identity-based stress, and the emotional exhaustion that can come from navigating a world that does not always feel safe or accepting.
Shaylyn believes healing is not about changing who you are. It is about understanding yourself, building safety within yourself, and developing tools to move through life with greater confidence and connection.
In sessions, Shaylyn creates a collaborative and supportive environment where clients can explore patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. She works with clients who may experience chronic dissociation, emotional overwhelm, shame, anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and difficulty feeling connected to themselves or others.
Her approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and personalized to each client's needs. She blends evidence-based therapies with curiosity, creativity, and a deep respect for each person's lived experience.
Education & Advanced Training
Shaylyn earned her Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina. Her clinical education and professional experience have shaped her passion for supporting individuals navigating trauma, identity exploration, and the complex experiences that impact emotional well-being.
Shaylyn has completed advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and body-based therapeutic approaches. She also integrates psychodynamic and relational approaches to help clients explore the deeper roots of their experiences, understand patterns that may no longer serve them, and develop a stronger connection with themselves.
Committed to providing affirming and culturally responsive care, Shaylyn continues to expand her training in areas that support LGBTQIA+ individuals, religious trauma recovery, complex trauma, chronic dissociation, and identity development. Her approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and respect for each client's unique lived experiences.
