Growing up. Growing through life. Neither comes with a roadmap.
Whether you're helping your child navigate big emotions, supporting a teenager through life's changes, or feeling overwhelmed yourself, therapy can be a place to slow down, feel understood, and discover new ways to move forward. You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support.
Monesha Battle, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA), creates a calm, welcoming space where children, teens, and adults can feel safe being themselves. She believes that healing begins with feeling heard, accepted, and supported, and she works alongside each client to build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and navigate life's challenges with greater resilience.
With eight years of experience working in schools and foster care, Monesha understands that every person's story is unique. She has experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, behavioral concerns, family conflict, school-related stress, and emotional challenges. She also enjoys partnering with parents to strengthen communication, improve family relationships, and create a more peaceful home environment.
Monesha believes therapy should feel collaborative, encouraging, and practical. Using Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing, she helps clients recognize their strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and make meaningful progress toward their goals. Her approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and often includes a touch of humor to help difficult conversations feel a little easier.
A North Carolina native, Monesha values faith, family, and genuine connection. Outside of the therapy office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also a social worker, and their two daughters. She's a proud foodie who loves traveling, trying new restaurants, and making memories with the people she loves.
No matter where you are in your journey, Monesha is committed to creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, discover your strengths, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to build.
