You don’t get to choose your family, but you do get to choose your therapist.

Mackenzie believes therapy should feel like a genuine, collaborative experience rather than something cold or overly clinical. Her goal is to create a space where clients can show up as they are, feel comfortable being human, and leave sessions with something meaningful and useful.

Mackenzie works with men, women, children ages 8 and up, and families. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have either tried therapy before or are hesitant to begin, and felt it wasn’t helpful or didn’t provide the tools needed to create real change. She believes therapy should be practical, honest, and empowering, not confusing or stagnant.

Her approach is hands-on, engaged, and tailored to each client. Mackenzie works closely with those she supports to build insight, develop practical skills, and move toward their goals in a way that feels realistic. She is deeply committed to helping clients feel heard, seen, supported, and confident in their ability to navigate life’s challenges.

Mackenzie is trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and uses an eclectic blend of approaches, including CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and family systems work. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model, she collaborates with clients to find what truly resonates with them and their unique experiences.

She understands how quickly life can shift from manageable to overwhelming. Whether someone is dealing with stress, ADHD, burnout, relationship or family conflict, or a general sense of feeling stuck, Mackenzie provides a space to slow down, process what’s going on, and begin creating meaningful, lasting change.

Mackenzie is also increasingly passionate about supporting individuals with brain injuries, active duty service members, veterans, and military families. As she continues to grow this area of her practice, she is committed to understanding the unique experiences, transitions, and challenges that can come with military life and neurological injuries, and providing care that is practical, supportive, and informed by those experiences.

When working with families, Mackenzie is passionate about tailoring the therapeutic approach to best fit each family’s needs. She incorporates alternative and creative styles of therapy depending on the child’s age, personality, and comfort level in session, helping children and teens feel more at ease and engaged in the process. Her goal is to strengthen communication, reduce conflict, and support more connected, supportive family dynamics.

At the core of her work is a deep respect for each person's experience. Mackenzie views her clients as whole individuals, not problems to be fixed. She is committed to providing a space that feels nonjudgmental, supportive, and grounded in real life, where clients can build confidence, gain clarity, and move forward in a way that feels true to them.

Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys spending time with her husband, son and friends. Their family loves exploring national parks, working out, and finding new coffee shops to try. Abby, their dog, is a frequent guest star in virtual sessions and may occasionally stop by to say hello!
