Helping you reconnect with yourself through compassionate, holistic care.
Alicia is a compassionate and holistic Clinical Mental Health Counselor who believes healing happens when we care for the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. She creates a supportive, collaborative space where clients can slow down, explore their experiences without judgment, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, military experiences, pregnancy or parenthood, or searching for a deeper sense of purpose, Alicia meets you where you are with warmth, curiosity, and genuine compassion.
In session, Alicia combines evidence based therapy with mindfulness and holistic practices to help clients better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, and build resilience. She believes therapy is not about fixing who you are, but about creating greater self awareness, strengthening your connection to yourself, and empowering you to move forward with confidence. Her approach is both compassionate and gently challenging, encouraging clients to recognize patterns, gain insight, and create meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for them.
Alicia's diverse life experiences have shaped the way she connects with clients from many different backgrounds. Born in Florida and raised overseas in Belgium as a third culture kid, she developed a deep appreciation for the ways culture, identity, and life experiences influence how we see ourselves and the world around us.
Before becoming a therapist, Alicia served in the United States Navy and graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a bachelor's degree in International Relations. Her military experience provides her with a unique understanding of resilience, adaptability, identity, and the challenges that often accompany military service. She is passionate about supporting active duty service members, veterans, military spouses, and families as they navigate the emotional impact of military life and major life transitions.
Alicia earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University, where she developed an integrative, person centered approach to therapy. She is also a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance and has completed advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Her training allows her to support clients in processing difficult experiences while thoughtfully incorporating mindfulness, grounding techniques, and mind body awareness into therapy when they align with each client's goals and preferences.
Alicia believes healing looks different for everyone. She values creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and collaboration, helping clients feel empowered to navigate life's challenges while cultivating greater balance, resilience, and overall well being.
Outside of the therapy room, Alicia enjoys expressing her creativity through art and photography, spending time in nature, and practicing yoga. These passions continue to inspire her belief that healing can happen in many different ways and that caring for ourselves extends far beyond the therapy office.
